SAFETY

At Galbraith Construction Ltd., safety is a top priority. As a member of the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association (NBCSA), we recognize the importance of safety, and strive to promote strong leadership and active participation. This is accomplished by a formalized Safety and Training Program, which was developed to help us establish and maintain healthy and safe work environments.

As an employer, it is our responsibility to take every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of our staff, as well as the general public. In doing so, we have learned that safety does not only concern the management staff at Galbraith Construction. But rather, in order for our Safety Program to be beneficial, all members of Galbraith Construction must contribute in any way they can. To ensure that our staff is equipped to promote safety in the workplace, any new employee is trained through our New and Rehire Orientation Program, where in they will be given a review of their Rights, their Responsibilities, General Company Safety Rules, our Disciplinary Process, Required PPE, Prominent Environmental Illnesses and Injuries, and a reference to our Company Safety Manuals, as well as MSDS, along with how to access them.

In addition, employees are encouraged to review Company Policies, and speak to supervisors if they need clarification. Our experienced management team is readily equipped to help a new employee adapt to their new work environment, and ensure that they feel comfortable and safe. Throughout all levels of management, we continue to cooperate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee, the Health and Safety Representatives and all other employees to create a healthy and safe work environment. Cooperation is also extended to outside parties such as other contractors, owners, and consultants.

Primarily, our safety program is in place to promote and encourage our staff members to act and work cautiously at all times. Within our program, we have established Safe Work Practices, Job Procedures, Company Policies and Disciplinary Actions, in order to maintain the safety of our staff, as well as the public. But it is each individual that makes up a member of our team, who is responsible for learning and following the contents of our safety program. Safety not only benefits an individual, it begins with an individual.
